A Picture Paints a Thousand Words
Memories though Photos
Vintage bone china is exquisite and, indeed, can sometimes be hard to photograph well. Photos are a way to capture the memories from your event and will capture the essence of the day. Here is a selection of photos from Mrs Doyle’s fabulous vintage bone china including china displays and jewellery items.
At a recent wedding open day at The Old Rectory Country House, Mrs Doyle’s Vintage was there with just a sample of her beautiful china.

Wedding Vows & Traditions
We honour mother earth and ask for our marriage to be abundant and grow stronger through the seasons. (Cherokee Prayer)
The tradition of the bridal shower may date back to the late nineteenth century. At one gathering of a bride and her friends, one of the guests put some of small gifts inside a parasol and opened it above the bride’s head. Word soon spread in the fashionable press and the bridal shower was born.
The custom of a bride wearing something blue at her wedding dates back many years, ever since the colour blue has been thought to promote purity and fidelity. This belief has evolved from brides wearing a blue ribbon, through sewing a blue band around the bottom of the bride’s dress, to the current trend of wearing a blue garter.
